Our private Turkish bath
A hammam was always meant to be a shared pleasure, but in most of Istanbul the shared part means a hall full of strangers, and families get split up at the door. We built our rooms around the opposite idea: you arrive together and you stay together.
Each booking gets a room of its own with heated marble, a sauna and a foam area. Parents, partners, grandparents and grown-up children can bathe side by side, at their own pace, while we look after the towels, the tea and the ride from your hotel.

The ritual
Our driver meets you at your hotel and brings you to the hammam. The ride back is included too.
In your room you start in the sauna and then on the heated marble, until the steam has softened your skin.
A kese mitt polishes away dull skin. Then comes the foam: a thick cloud of soap bubbles and a warm rinse.
In the longer programs a therapist works through your back, neck and shoulders, lightly or deeply as you ask.
You finish in the lounge with something to drink and a sweet bite, before we drive you home.

Not at all. Our team walks you through each step and keeps the heat at a level you enjoy. If anyone is pregnant, has a heart or blood-pressure condition, or is a child, mention it in the notes when you book.
Programs run from 60 to 150 minutes. Getting changed is not counted, so we suggest arriving about ten minutes early.
Fill in the form and a WhatsApp message opens with everything filled in. Send it, and we check the room and answer there. Your booking is confirmed once we confirm it.

Yes. We collect you and bring you back at no extra charge. Add your hotel and room number to the form and we confirm the pick-up time on WhatsApp.
No. Booking on this website costs nothing. You pay at the hammam once your ritual is over, and we never take a deposit online.
Yes on both counts. Each booking has a room that nobody else uses, and couples bathe together there. You will not share the hall with other guests.
Yes, families are welcome in a private room. Tell us how many people are coming and how old the children are, and we prepare the room and set the temperature for everyone.
Reserve through this website and the reduced online prices apply to the first four programs. The price you see is the price you pay at the hammam.
At Family Hammam the programs run from €51 to €190 per person when you reserve online, and the Family Suite for Two is priced for a pair. Each program page lists the regular price, the online price and exactly what is included.
No. Hammam (also spelled hamam) is the Arabic-origin name for the Turkish bath. All three words describe the same ritual of warmth, scrub and foam. Ours takes place in a private room for your family or your partner.
